of Google is achievable, but its more about planning and
understanding where you want your company to be online rather
than some magic seo secret that will get you there overnight. If
it was that easy, every website would be there...I think you get

You don't have to work

Anyone who offers seo services, if their credible, will ask for your input. Before any research or work begins on your site, its imperative that the person performing your seo understands your company thoroughly. They will need to know your customer base, what products and services you offer; the areas you cover and who you believe your direct competition is.

Well, if you're not listed in Google it may not be the end of the world, but you would be missing out of traffic from the largest search engine in the world. There's no doubt that Google is a huge part of any seo strategy, but Yahoo, Ask, Bing and other major search engines also play a role. Searched from a variety of resources should be the goal for any overall seo strategy.
A small website won't get any
traffic
A small website can attract the same amount of traffic as a large complex website, but its all relative. A properly written, structured and optimised website will gain targeted traffic no matter how small it is, although we wouldn't recommend less than 5-8 pages. This is simply down to the fact that your information needs to be properly organised and structured for good navigation, and any less than 5 would not be effective.
